Studio Policies: Welcome

Tuition is based on our 10 month season, September through June, and broken down into manageable monthly payments. Even though some months have 3 weeks, other months have 5 weeks, it averages out over the course of the 10-month program. Tuition does not fluctuate with holidays, vacations, or any absences. Make-up classes can be scheduled for any absences (see our class make-up policy).

A non-refundable, annual registration fee of $15 per student is charged with first month’s tuition at registration. A family discount is offered of $25 for two dancers or $30 for three or more dancers.

Tuition is due on the 25th of each month (to be applied to the following month) and is to be paid via our online portal or cash/check (checks payable to Elevation Academy of Dance). Automatic payments can be set up in your online portal. Tuition is non-refundable.

A late fee of $10 will be charged after a 5 day grace period (30th of month) followed by an additional late fee of $25 on the 10th of the month if the balance has not been paid or a payment arrangement has not been made. Tuition is non-refundable. Payments more than 60 days late with no communication will be sent to collections.

EAD is not responsible for providing before or after class childcare for students. Students should arrive no more than 5-10 minutes before class to put on appropriate shoes and use the restroom. Parents are welcome to wait in our lobby during class but are not permitted in the dance rooms. Students need to be picked up on time. Students that are picked up more than 15 minutes late may be charged a $25 late pick-up fee (emergencies excepted).

One-month notice is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal forms must be submitted within the first 5 days of the month to be effective for the next month. We will not be accepting withdrawals over the phone, email, or with a teacher. Refunds are not give for unused lessons, absences, injuries, etc.

We wish to unenroll completely from EAD: Complete Withdrawal Form

We wish to drop a class(es) but stay enrolled in 1 or more classes at EAD: Drop A Class(es) Form

Spring Recital is Saturday, June 8th 2024. All dancers performing in the recital are required to attend our mandatory Dress Rehearsal on Friday, June 7th 2024.

Students will be charged a costume fee for each performing class. Costume fees range from $80-$100 per class. Students keep their costumes after the show. Students are also required to have the appropriate shoes and tights to accompany their costume.

All costume fees must be paid in full by February 1st 2024 for our Spring Recital. Costumes will not be distributed to dancer’s with outstanding balances. Dancer’s with outstanding balances will not be able to participate in the Spring Recital.

Attendance is key to success. If excessive absences are effecting a dancer’s ability to participate, they may be asked to withdrawal from the class.

Missed classes may be made up in another appropriate class within 30 days after the absence. Please email the office to schedule a make-up class. Missing more than one month of class with no communication may result in removal from class.

Elevation Academy reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute teacher in the event that the regular teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach.  If an appropriate substitute teacher is not available, canceled classes can be made up in other appropriate scheduled classes.

Cell phones are not permitted in class and are to be left in Student Lounge with other personal belongings. SOCIAL MEDIA, VIDEO, AND PHOTO IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE STUDENT AREA. We reserve the right to confiscate cell phones if they are disruptive and hold them at the front desk for the student while under our care.

See detailed dress code for class-specific requirements. Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. For safety reasons, dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry or fake nails. Failure to wear required dance-wear/shoes to class could result in students being asked to sit out of the class.

It is the responsibility of the guardian or student to update any email address, mailing address, phone number, and contact information in the online portal. We will communicate primarily via email and text message. It is the responsibility of the guardian or student to be aware of all studio activities, recitals, no-class dates, etc.

Our program requires positive involvement from everyone. Cooperation between fellow parents and staff is expected at all times. Please show respect for faculty members, studio families, and all dancers. A positive and enthusiastic outlook on this program and everyone involved extends to your child. Negative comments and feedback can be harmful to your child’s progress and education; they are always listening and what you say matters. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

Drug and/or alcohol use will not be tolerated while students are in our care (this includes classes and any studio related function located at the studio or elsewhere). If a student is suspected to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol during class or studio events, parent/guardian will be called and authorities will be notified.

Elevation Academy has a responsibility to report any instances of abuse (including but not limited to drug and/or alcohol related abuse) that directly affect our studio and/or our students.
