CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

So Many Fun Choices!

DANCE & LEARN PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

A preschool like program where girls & boys ages
2.5-5 will learn, dance, play and grow! Snack provided. Learning one letter each week. Daily circle time, craft, music dance, and play!

Preschool

GROWN UP & ME

This super fun class allows for optimum expression and exploration! Featuring music, instruments, dance, singing, play and MORE, this class will be enjoyable for ages 0-5 along with their Grown Up!

CREATIVE MOVEMENT

Creative Movement is a joyful way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote creativity and cognitive development. Students will learn other skills like staying in lines, taking turns, following instructions, etc. This class is sensory friendly and does not require any tights or specific shoes!

PRE- BALLET

Dancers learn an introduction to ballet through a fun focused curriculum. Dancers also learn class structure, taking tearns, etc.

TOT HOP

Get your little one moving and grooving in this hip hop style class for tots! Dancers learn class structure, rhythm, coordination, strength, balance, and more!

TEETER TOTS

This super fun class introduces kiddos to balance and exploratory movement! Tots will be rocking and rolling  while they enjoy obstacle courses, balance beam, trampoline, balance shapes, gymnastics mats, swinging bar and more!

BALLET

The foundation of all dance forms, ballet is highly encouraged for all dancers. Students learn classical ballet technique and terminology through level appropriate barre, center, and across-the-floor progressions. Watch your child develop grace, elegance, technique, discipline, flexibility, stamina, endurance and more!

PRE-POINTE/POINTE

Pre-Pointe is required of any dancer wishing to go en Pointe in their future. In bare-feet and regular ballet shoes, dancers develop the strength, attention to detail, and the knowledge necessary to work up to going en Pointe.


For the safety of the dancer, teacher recommendation is required for Pointe. Dancers must meet a list of requirements and pass several tests before being placed en Pointe.

TAP

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement.

HIP-HOP

Fun and fast paced! Dancers groove to the music learning rhythm, coordination, confidence and more while developing strength through the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Students are encouraged to bring their own individual style and personality to the movement allowing for optimum creative expression!

JAZZ

Dancers will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns.  Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer.  Curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions and combos.

LYRICAL

Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet and jazz to create a soft style that emphasizes the storytelling quality of music.  An emphasis is placed on grace and fluidity, musicality, and expressiveness to capture emotion through movement.

BATON

Baton twirling is an excellent way of developing hand-eye coordination, rhythm, timing, poise and gracefulness, endurance, self-discipline, and overall total body coordination.

STRENGTH TRAINING

Strength Training class is designed to improve a dancer’s range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase overall body strength. Through elements of Pilates, Yoga, Barre, and more, dancers will increase their awareness of their own body’s potential and excel in all areas of their dance training.

STUDENT COMPANY

Company class is for Company dancers only. This is a time for these like-minded students to come together and work on technique, special skills, flexibility, cross training, group choreography for community evens and more.
